today i administered the first dose of ciprol to zeba. i had to towel him...ugh...i hate doing that to him, but we got through it pretty quickly and i put him back in his cage for a while to cool down.

i dont know how to do this tomorrow morning - i gave zeba a good 10 - 15 minutes to come to me (lured by a piece of walnut) but tomorrow i dont really have that much time to give him. we'll see. maybe i'll just start early.

im really worried what this will do to the bond of trust we've been working on for the past month. im hoping zeba will somehow know that i am doing this for his own good and will forgive me. :-/

over the weekend, and today, ive been getting him used to the travel carrier. tonight, while on the carrier, zeba happily listened to some kiddie music. he got as close to my laptop's speakers as i would allow and just sat there listening. he even lifted one foot, burying it in his feathers, and relaxed while listening to it. the songs that you can clearly hear drumming made him a little nervous for some reason...probably related to his fear of wooden perches.
