Zeba stepping up for me tonight..this one is for a walnut.



Tonight, Zeba stepped up for me a few times without being lured by a walnut. there was one time where he was wandering into the bathroom (i was in there just a few seconds before and didn't close the door). i didn't really want him in there so i offered my hand and asked him to "step up" and he did! there was a little hesitation, but it was amazing that he did step up on my hand.

i did start with him stepping up on my arm since it was a much more stable area, but i have been training him more and more to step up on my hand. the reason for this is that when we do move out into the living room or if we go somewhere that i want to have control over zeba's movements, it would be best for him to step up on my hand (actually, along my pointer finger near the base) so that i can hold on to his feet with my thumb. since zeba will still do almost anything to attack my husband, i think if i had control over his feet, my husband will be much safer. ;-)

zeba did some of his little "ticks" tonight. not too much and not as often, but when zeba was still and comfortable, he started doing his wing-flit/head-flit tick. but if i were to scratch his head or when he starts moving around, it would stop.
