zeba enjoying a day out at the playground, watching some softball...

today, zeba was quite active. after meeting with pico yesterday, i think he wanted to spend the entire day with him. i was pretty busy making "mike's manna mash" (it took me three hours..its a great bird food that is made of cooked beans and lots of great fruits and veggies high in vitamin A all mixed and mashed together) so i didn't want to put them on one playstand. so whenever i saw zeba climbing down his cage, i went over, stepped him up on a perch and put him back at the top of his cage.

we did this a few times until i put him on a playstand that is closer to the kitchen and one where there is no way down except fluttering to the ground (which he didnt want to do it seems). anyways, after making the mash, and zeba (all the while) trying to find a way down from the playstand that i put him on, i took him in for a shower. oh boy, did he have a blast! we talked all the way through and he got soaked!

well, after that, he must've been pooped! see the following pictures for yourself. if you ask me, it looks like he was leaning against his hanging toy while taking a snooze!

yesterday zeba and my amazon, pico, touched for the first time. we have been keeping them apart but they saw each other each day since both of their cages stand in our living room. i guess they got used to each other since zeba moved into the living room and the pictures are of what happened when we put both pico and zeba on the same playstand. all the while, i was standing by, of course, just in case i had to break up an amazon fight. it was, at the very least, a cute meetup.
